Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation:
Presence of Heart
Mindfulness Meditation nurtures balance, well being, and presence in our lives. This class introduces mindfulness of the body, thoughts, and emotions, and combines these with the practice of kindness, to cultivate a presence of heart. Jeanne will combine instruction with time for coaching and questions. This class includes recorded guided meditations, and a handout package of resources.
Three Mondays, Feb 22 - Mar 8, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
Mindfulness and Quiet Joy: Support in These Times
We can turn our mindfulness to places of quiet joy and other sources of resilience to support balance in our heart and mind in this changing world. This class offers practises of nourishment that we can touch in this moment, even in the midst of challenge.
Three Mondays, Mar 15 - Mar 29, 7:00 - 8:30
Cree Elder Jim Settee was one of Jeanne’s first teachers in loving, mindful presence. In this class we will work with a teaching from the late Jim Settee, in combination with mindfulness and kindness practises. Throughout the class you will create your own collection of mindfulness and kindness teachings to carry with you.
Four Tuesdays, Apr 6 - Apr 27, 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
This transformative course is based on over three decades of research and is widely used in medical centers, business and community settings worldwide. This immersion in the practices of mindfulness as well as compassion and kindness supports the integration of the practise in everyday life.
Each class is 2.5 hours in length to allow time for mindful movement, meditation practise, group dialogue, gentle interactive small group work, and participatory exercises. The day long retreat helps to anchor the practise. This class is 27 hours in total.
Dear friends, due to our ongoing covid precautions I will wait to offer an in person MBSR class. If you wish to be on the email wait list, please contact Jeanne at email@example.com
I will let you know when the next one is scheduled.
